How to Confirm Performance Parts Fitment Before Ordering Online

Ordering performance parts online is easy. Ordering the right performance parts takes five minutes of verification — and it’s the difference between a perfect bolt-on install and an expensive return. Here’s the exact process we recommend before you buy any part from StealthTorque.

1. Know your chassis code, not just your model name

"BMW 3 Series" isn’t enough. A 2019 330i (G20) and a 2018 330i (F30) are completely different cars underneath — different engines, different mounting points, different parts. Find your chassis code (G20, F30, E90, S550, Q50, C8…) on your VIN plate, door jamb sticker, or owner’s manual. Every StealthTorque listing names the exact chassis codes it fits.

2. Confirm year, trim, and engine

Manufacturers change parts mid-generation. The Infiniti Q50 switched from the 3.7L VQ37 to the 3.0T VR30 in 2016 — intakes, intercoolers, and charge pipes do not cross over. Check your trim and engine code, then match them against the Fitment tab on the product page.

3. Have your VIN ready

Your 17-digit VIN encodes the exact factory configuration of your car. If you’re ever unsure, contact us with your VIN before ordering and we’ll verify against the manufacturer’s compatibility data.

4. Measure twice for wheels

Wheels need four numbers to fit: bolt pattern (PCD), center bore, offset (ET), and diameter/width. They’re stamped inside your current wheels or listed in your owner’s manual. Our forged wheels are built to order — send us your specs and we’ll confirm before anything is machined.

5. Read the safety notes

Every product page has a Warranty & Shipping tab with product-specific safety guidance. Exhaust components reach extreme temperatures. Carbon aero changes downforce. Forced-induction parts change how your engine breathes. Know what you’re installing.

The 30-second rule

If you can’t match your chassis code, year, and trim to the listing’s fitment tab in 30 seconds, stop and ask us first. A two-minute message beats a two-week return. That’s why every StealthTorque product page has a “Does this fit my car?” quick-check — use it.
